What is the WPS button on the modem used for?

"WPS is used to automatically connect a WiFi extender to your DSL modem. Press it until it starts blinking. Then Press “WPS” button on your Wireless extender within 2 minutes of pressing it on the modem. The wireless extender shall be within the wireless range of your modem. "

How to change the WiFi Password? Can Sodetel Technical Support change it from their side?

To turn off the wireless , you need to access the modem configuration interface. Changing wireless password cannot be done from Sodetel side. Call our hotline 1278 to guide you through the steps.

How to refill the card I bought?

Go to dslinfo.sodetel.net.lb , enter your L number and password (in case you were not automatically logged in), enter the card ID and card password available on the card you bought in the designated boxes.

Does DSL require a working landline?

You need to have a working landline number in order to be eligible to subscribe to the DSL service

What shall I do if I do not want to use my DSL connection for a specific month(s)?

You should buy a "Freeze" card and recharge it for the month you wish not to use your DSL internet. Cards can be bought online or from one of our authorized dealers

When shall I refill my DSL account? How the refill process works?

When the account is active , you can add a card whenever you want and it will be automatically reactivated at the beginning of the next month

Can I recharge multiple cards?

You can recharge multiple cards and the expiry date will be extended depending on how many cards you added to your account

What is Fair Usage Policy?

"The Fair Usage Policy is applied only to: - Sodetel DSL unlimited accounts Package - All free Unlimited night traffic Between 1:00 am till 8:00 am Fair Usage Policy is applied on Unlimited account to keep the Quality of service fair for all Residential Clients. Since these accounts have shared traffic, the system will automatically group the high traffic users together and the light traffic users together. The download quantity is always unlimited as promised but the high traffic users will experience degradation in the download speed due to the heavy traffic being shared within the same group. This will allow the light user download speed not to be affected by the heavy downloaders which will keep the quality of service fair for all. The process of switching an Account from light user to heavy user or vice versa is done automatically by the system and it does not work on a fixed quota or time value but it depends on the amount of traffic for each user. The system will keep indicating automatically the high or low traffic for different users and will group them together as long as these amounts of traffic are changing the users grouping will keep changing.

Will my remaining unused quota be transferred to the next month?

Remaining quota is not transferable , DSL accounts reset at the beginning of each month. Only Extra volume refill cards remaining quota is transferable.

Can I use a modem that is not provided by Sodetel?

Our modems are approved by France Telecom labs have all the functions required for a stable and secure DSL which are highly recommended. You can still buy a modem from the market but we do not guarantee optimal performance and support.
