Integrated Service Digital Network
1- What is ISDN
Its is a digital connection between your premises and the MT switch of your region.
The difference between an ISDN connection and a regular phone line is :
- Through the regular phone line you can obtain a maximum speed of 33.6K as upload & 56K
as download with a specific modem (V90, V92) via SODETEL's digital access lines.
- The ISDN BRI is a 2-channels digital dial up line (2B +D) each channel provide a 64K and
you may use both of them simultaneously to get a 128K connection in upload & download.
Also,
If you are using one of the two channels of the ISDN line, you can receive a regular phone
call on the other channel which means that you can use the Internet acces and still receive
regular phone call at the same time.
